Predatory mites work if you get to them early enough. What you use sometimes depends on how bad the infestation. |

Hey nice pics. 2 -3 gal. should finish ok. You can transplant just be gentile. You dont want to stop them from rooting, flower food is good for roots anyway. I would think where they are in pre-flower they should stop growing up soon. If the light is weak they will stretch. Keep the lights as close as you can without burning them. Keep the air flow to them. Make sure they are watered deeply (well drained though). They look nice and healthy to me. Great job. You will have some good smoke soon. When they look like they are less than a week from harvest, run several gal. of water from the top through the soil and let it drain and then water no more than what is needed for the remaining time. You dont want to much ferts in the plant material as it will effect the taste and the way it burns. Ever had smoke that just charcoals up and stings your lips and tongue when you smoke it? Too much ferts, so rinse. Best of luck, good to see you on the forum. |

yup tried the alcohol seemed to work ok but when they r that big that is alot of work and time sitting there spraying every leaf's underside .. i have recently added a few new friends to the garden.. 5 spiders they seem to be helping quite a bit.. if any one else has this problem i have found a store that sells predatory insects i am going to pick up 1000 lady bugs tomorrow at the topsham urban garden center for $9.95 they say it is enough for a 2200 ft garden and they are supposed to eat over 200 species of intrusive insects from ur garden and do no harm to it. i will let you know how they work out...

ok all i have been testing and trying new things to get rid of spider mites and here are some of the results...
lady bugs: suck for spider mites do not waste your money!!!!
Preditory mites: work well but are rather pricey about $75.00 after paying for shipping costs..
Bio-neem: works well must be applied 2-3 times every 7-10 days for bad infestations being sure to spray both underside and topsides of ALL leaves...
Home remedy from my growing books: best if used b4 start of flowering
1/2 cup milk 4 cups wheat flour 5 gallons water
mix all ingredients and spray ENTIRE plant in the morning do to the thickness of this brew you want to give it as much drying time as possible b4 lights out. this will not harm your plants, it suffocates the mites and flakes off after drying. repeat after 8-10 days as this will not kill eggs.
hope some of this will help you in your ventures happy growing tatfreak |

hey bro i have been having some problems lately after the stress from the mites now i've got an issue with leaves yellowing and browning then falling off... dont know if this is heat or a lack of nutrients?!?!?!?! need some more advice.. i will put some pics of it up later on if i can... to better describe it they r getting yellow then getting brown spots on them, then the leaves almost look like they are starting to curl under on themselves. it prob. stays about 85 degrees in there but i can not really do anything to change the heat.... unless i change them to a night time light cycle so the lights are only on in the night time when the room is cooler plzzz let me know what you think.. one more ? will spraying them with water while they have a 400w metal halide, a 100w metalhalide and a 75w hps burn them???? all lights are well over 1' away |

I know that uptake of nutes slows with high heat conditions. Raise lights and back off on nutes. cool anyway you can. It is suggested to cool water if you can. |

It's pretty expensive, but I see water coolers at hydro stores online (wormsway.com for one) that keep the water in the hydro system cool. |

Off the top of my head I'm thinking Nitrogen overdose. Flush with water, about 4-5 times the container size they are planted in. Drain well. Send pics it could also be a deficiency. |
